For the thrifty traveller, hitchhiking is also another
option.
The only problem with hitching in New Zealand is that there are fewer cars
on the roads than in other, more populated countries.
However, if you are hitch hiking on the main roads, your chances of being picked
up are good. Just remember to smile and write something funny on your
destination sign!!
New Zealanders are very interested in foreign people so be prepared to face
a barrage of questions about your country!!
